Today’s word of the day is Discipline! Drink more, eat less. It’s so easy to get tempted when you’re home all day to run back and forth to the kitchen because it’s right there! It’s very important to stay hydrated while you’re working. Plain old water is perfectly fine. If you like energy drinks that’s good too, they may give you electrolytes. A personal favorite is coconut water. Either way, drink, and make sure you stay hydrated all day.
Second, stay out of the refrigerator! It’s so easy to get up and keep eating all day long, every time you have a break or a 5 min gap between meetings, to get up and grab a snack. Don’t do that. You’ll put on so many pounds so quickly.
Just think, if you were in an office all day you would not have the opportunity to get up and down to a refrigerator full of food to grab those leftovers so easily, so don’t do it here. “The refrigerator is calling, there’s leftovers to be eaten!”
Get in the habit of setting aside specific times for a morning and afternoon break and lunch. Take the break, but be disciplined in doing to.
Drink more, eat less. You’ll be happier and healthier in the long run.
