Today’s work from home tip . . .
Get Outside!
If it’s a summer day or if you work in an area where it’s a warmer climate, no need to be cooped up in your office sitting at a desk. Take the opportunity now and then to get outside, breathe in some fresh air, and enjoy the day.
Fresh air and sunshine will do you a world of good. It offers healthy physical benefits, but also relaxes your mind as well. You don’t have to be cooped up inside your house or in your basement or garage. Get out and grant yourself a change of scenery, excite your senses with the smell of wildflowers and the sounds of birds chirping.
If you don’t have a back yard patio or deck to sit at, that’s ok. There are plenty of places to go for a change of scenery. Try a local coffee shop. Or head out to a nearby park, get comfy on a park bench, and enjoy the sights and sounds around you. |
I find this especially helpful on days when I’m doing a lot of reading and listening, like training days, or when attending a remote seminar or a team meeting. Who knows? You may even find the co-workers around here (like the deer or chipmunks) to be a bit more pleasant than some of your other coworkers. 😊 |
Getting out just once or twice a week, even for just a few hours, will be a relaxing change of pace and help clear your mind of day to day stress.
