Setting up your space

When working from home it’s important to have a space that works for you to keep you motivated and focused. Think about this . . . most businesses are not paper based anymore, so you don’t need a lot of space for papers, folders, and documents. All you really need is enough room for a laptop, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Anything beyond that are things to make it more comfortable for you, such as a coffee mug warmer, speakerphone, or desk lamp.

If you’ve got dedicated home office space in your home, GREAT!, but if you don’t, that OK too. You can still use a dining room, corner in a basement, perhaps space in your garage you cans et aside for a home office. Again, you don’t need a whole lot of space.

Whatever space you have, make if comfortable and productive for you and the way you work. And be glad you don’t have to hop on a train or bus for an hour-long commute.
